Training Facilities

Training takes place every Wednesday at 7.30pm at the "Sandpit" - the spiritual home of Laotian Football. Running out onto the sandpit for the first time is as humbling an experience as a sportsperson will ever feel. As sporting stadiums go the sandpit is as close to perfection as is physically possible.

An expansive and modern cauldron the "pit" has seen the elephants blossom from calfs into fully grown "phants" over a glorious period of about 3 and a half months. Unplayable in the wet, and nearly impossible in the dry the sandpit's magic lies not in its meteor sized divets, its rock hard gravel surface, its inadequate lighting, or its surrounding swamp - the sandpit's magic is that it is our home - an Elephant may migrate often, but it always returns back to the pit.

Training also takes place every Sunday at 5pm across from the Hospital 103. There is grass on this pitch.
